Random HOT Men From TV
Robert Spencer
In our youths, adolescence, adulthood....
Let's post random pics of random hot men who stirred our homophile loins...
I begin, randomly, with Don Galloway from IRONSIDE.

Mark Shera, JJ on BARNABY JONES.
Friggin' adorbs!
Offsite Link| by Anonymous | reply 1 | October 13, 2017 1:32 AM |
OMG Don Galloway was gorgeous. In one of the last seasons of Ironside the figured that out by finding reasons to show him shirtless. He is undercover at some porn mogul's mansion and he is in the pool dripping wet, then he's falsely accused and sent to prison having to endure a spray down when nude.

Brian Kelly, the frequently shirtless father on Flipper.
Also, I know Michael Ontkean was the pin-up boy of "The Rookies", but I always thought Sam Melville was the hot one.

Not three sons; there were 4 total. Lee Majors' character of Heath was the half brother to the other three brothers and sister Audra. His mother was not Victoria but as I recall a woman named Leah who the late Tom Barkley had an affair.

Peter Mark Richman is probably more recognizable as a middle aged and older character actor who seemed to appear on at least ONE episode of any 60s 70s 80s tv series you can name but as a young man he was scorching hot.
I remember seeing an old Alfred Hitchcock Presents on TV Land when I was a teen and thinking how modern and sexy he looked.
Offsite Link| by Anonymous | reply 61 | October 13, 2017 5:50 AM |
Indeed! Earlier in his career there was,no "Peter" in his name. He was in "Friendly Persuasion" as a sexy soldier.

I'm in my 60s so grew up (and was entirely spoiled) with late 1950s studs like Clint Walker. I was further entranced in the 1960s by Van Wliliams and Ron Ely and in the 1970s by Peter Lupus.
But by the 1980s I was in my 40s and found that floppy-haired metrosexuality of Joel Higgins and his ilk rather off-putting.

Nobody but my siblings even remembers him, but I had a YUUUGGGE crush on Stephen Brooks of [italic]The Interns[/italic] and [italic]The FBI.[/italic] Sadly, his career petered out early in the mid-70s, and he died relatively young.
He's on the left in this pic. Cutie Christopher Stone (who left Dee Wallace Stone a youngish widow) is on the far right.

Loved Martin Milner. But only when he added a few years, like that photo above (from Gidget?) and beyond. Same thing with James MacArthur (Hawaii Five-O). He was okay when he was a teenager, but hot as he aged.

Another kinda hot guy - William Reynolds from The FBI and later Shelly Novak. Novak died very young as well.

Ron Ely
Marc Singer
| by Anonymous | reply 90 | October 15, 2017 3:53 PM |
I recently read on some website the claim that James Franciscus "dated" Richard Chamberlain in the early 1960s.
While Franciscus was touted as the next big heart throb in his Mr. Novak TV series to rival Chamberlain's Dr. Kildare, I always assumed Franciscus was straight.
Anyone know where the truth lies?

R74, I remember that show The Interns. Stephen truly was beautiful and as I recall Mike Farrell was one of the doctors. Did not know he passed away and I always wondered what happened to his career. Don't recall seeing him in anything else. Chris Stone...yum.

I watched Franciscus in a movie with Suzanne Pleshette called Youngblood Hawke and he struck me as looking a bit like Charlton Heston in his speech and some mannerisms. I thought he could have played Heston's son or younger sibling. Nevertheless, Franciscus was gorgeous and died at 57 years old of emphysema.

Okay, I know he wasn't considered hot or handsome, but a few years ago after watching some reruns of "MASH" on cable, I was struck by how incredibly blue Larry Linville's eyes were. They're on par with Paul Newman's.

I know a cousin to Franciscus and I recall onetime him having told me a few stories about him. No, nothing gay whatsoever. One thing I recall was that he told me Franciscus had an affair with Jane Fonda back in the mid to late 50s and that the two were crazy about one another.

Was watching one of those 60s anthology shows on MeTv and I realized just how sweetly handsome Ben Gazzara was as a young man...and judging from later pictures the older he got the "damn daddier" he became.
Offsite Link| by Anonymous | reply 113 | October 18, 2017 3:14 AM |
Middle aged Ben Gazzarra would have got it six ways to Sunday. He reminds me a little of Dan Futterman.

Can't believe I'm saying this but having recently seen the Twilight Zone ep. "The Purple Testament" for the first time. and seeing Dick York with scruff and acting all serious and brooding I have to say that for the first time I actually thought he looked pretty fucking hot.
I know that William Reynolds(who seems gay to me,incidentally) is the heartthrob in that show but in their scenes together my eyes definitely gravitated toward DIck.
But then don't they always?
Offsite Link| by Anonymous | reply 116 | October 18, 2017 3:28 AM |
James Drury of "The Virginian."
Offsite Link| by Anonymous | reply 117 | October 18, 2017 3:29 AM |
Pete Duel and Ben Murphy, "Alias Smith and Jones." Both gorgeous men who had great chemistry with each other on the show. But Duel was an alcoholic, bi-polar train wreck; he ended up killing himself. He was replaced on the show by Roger Davis, but he was no Pete Duel and the show was quickly cancelled. Murphy's career went absolutely nowhere after the show ended. I don't know what he looks like now, but I saw him in one of those "Hollywood's Mysteries and Scandals" shows (it was about Pete Duel's suicide) and he was still hot and had to be at least in his fifties.

[quote]James Drury of "The Virginian."
James Drury reminds me of the first adult male I ever saw completely nude.
Strangely enough it was my church pastor and after being baptized he and I had to change out of the wet baptismal robes.
He had really beautiful pale, rosy skin which contrasted with the shock of dense, black pubic hair that highlighted a nice, average sized cock. It's probably why still today the sight of a man's full bush make my heart beat faster.
Of course ,nothing happened but I do still think it's odd that he got naked in front of me like that.

R118, Ben Murphy looked a lot like Paul Newman and in fact did a prequel to the original co starring with William Katt as Sundance. Tom Berenger used to get called a Newman lookalike but I think Murphy fit the bill better. Pete Deuel also was on Gidget as her bro in law and as Judy Carne's hubby in a show called Love on a Rooftop. I liked him a lot and he could have had Bob Urich's career. Or prob a decent movie career.

[quote]I don't usually gravitate toward blondes but Martin Milner had that relatable, high school P.E. teacher look that is irresistible to me.
I loved Milner in Route 66-especially when he wore a suit.

I sure found Jon Hensley to be a hot piece on As the World Turns. And of course, Brian Bloom was a bit of pretty boy, too.

Brian Bloom, in full bloom.

I'm with you on Page Fletcber, R181. He did have, I truly believe, the nicest, hottest ass on television. Can you imagine seeing him actually hitchhiking? Fuuuuuccccccckkkk!

Competing early '60s TV doctors Richard Chamberlain and Vince Edwards.
Offsite Link| by Anonymous | reply 186 | October 21, 2017 2:34 AM |
Vince Edwards was so hot but Ben Casey was kind of a dull TV series compared to Dr. Kildare.
Sad that Edwards was never able to parlay his TV fame into feature films.....and then he died so young.

Vince Edwards was like sex on a stick.

The incomparable, triple-threat Cleavon Little, who should have had a MUCH bigger career, and who died way too young at 53.

Another triple threat, sexy and talented Clifton Davis. In the 70s, he starred alongside the great Theresa Merritt in [italic]That's My Mama![/italic] Later in the decade, he had a lovely variety show with the equally hot and talented Melba Moore. In the 80s and 90s, he started in [italic]Amen[/italic] with Sherman Hemsley.
Not only is he a good actor, Davis also sings and writes music; in fact, he wrote one of the Jackson 5's (and Gloria Gaynor's) biggest hits, "Never Can Say Goodbye."

[quote]And what the fuck does "random" mean, anyway?
I don't know what "random" means for anybody else but in this context I would define it as an unknown or somewhat familiar, attractive actor who appeared in television shows as neither the lead or series regular.
A good example for me would be DILFY Joel Polis who has done a ton of episodic tv, including Jackie's ballet dancing boyfriend in "Roseanne" and also played "Fuchs" in John Carpenter's "The Thing".

James Naughton is the rare hottie whose weak chin seems to be one of his selling points.
I went to Yale with Joel Polis. He was even hotter in the mid-1970s. I was surprised he never found bigger stardom, at least on some cop TV series.

It seems impossible to find shirtless pics of Guy Williams. The only thing I've seen that comes close is a head and shoulders shot of him with his family in a pool. The shot of Mark Goddard barechested in bed, seen earlier in the thread, is the only shirtless pic I've ever seen of him. Yeah, please somebody, step up!
