My husband is a gastroenterologist and he noticed that thin people fart more ... something about their primarily plant-based diet. The only standard exception is people with gall bladder disease who tend to be fat, forty+, and farty.

I've noticed when I eat processed foods I fart a lot. When I eat clean foods, veggies, lean proteins, fruits and low amount of carbs I fart a lot less. I'm not fat, if that matters.

My fat deplorable cousins are big time farters. From Pennsylvania. My late cousin Teddy used to grab people and press their faces right to his ass and then fart. We stopped seeing that side of the family when he tried that trick on my mother..

I lifeguarded as a summer job and when the place closed we had to clean the change rooms. I don't know about women farting but their inability to flush a toilet was worthy of scientific study. I still wake in the night, screaming.
