WHET Vinessa Shaw?
William Jenkins
She played Allison in "Hocus Pocus," the HIV-positive hooker in "Eyes Wide Shut," and the sister who gets shot in the head in "The Hills Have Eyes" remake. I've always thought she was a good actress but she doesn't really work that much. She had a small part in "Side Effects" but she's mainly done crap horror movies for Netflix as of late. She had that guest role on "Ray Donovan," but I'm wondering why she hasn't worked more in television.

Getting shot in the head has a way of ending one's career.

OP, no one wants to hire someone who doesn't know how to spell their own name...

Per R2's response, according to her Wiki, her parents named her "Vinessa" to honor her grandfather, who was named Vincent. It's a bit odd, but I sort of like it.

She was really good in her small part in Eyes Wide Shut

OP I just watched Hocus Pocus yesterday :D !!! For a Clever little white witch, she hasn't used that acumen to advance her career. I remember seeing Eyes Wide Shut and thinking yay! there's Alison ! Then almost nothing for a while. I am 90% sure she was in a season of House for a few episodes. She played the nurse practitioner that Chase wanted to fuck. That's the last thing I remember (or think I saw her in) .

She should have at least been able to book some guest spots on tv. I don’t know what happened.

She was in a so-so film on Netflix called Clinical in which she plays a psychiatrist who is being menaced by a former patient who brutally attacked her on Christmas Eve.

R10 sounds like a Lifetime movie. Or an episode of SVU.

She's aging pretty well, at least

Were her parents drunk and French when they named her?
