My hours changed at work and I've been having to leave home much earlier than usual.

Everyday this week I went out to start my car at 4:30AM and there was a terrible chemical smell coming out of my neighbors house. It sort of smells like spray paint mixed with diesel. On Wednesday the smell actually bothered my nose and throat and I was coughing all day.

Maybe in the cooking stages. The final product is more or less odorless.

I drove past a what I suspect was a meth lab. It had a sickening sweet smell. Other times, I suspected someone in a neighboring apartment building was cooking meth. It smelled like they were cleaning at 3 a.m.

I've never smoked it but am told it smells like cat piss. This makes sense because there's a lot of drug users in my neighborhood and when I walk by that's what I smell.
