We had milk men who delivered dairy products and house calls from doctors. Our mothers cooked before food processors, microwaves, home juicers, air fryers, convection ovens, dishwashes and fancy knives became common. As kids, we had no videogames, air pods, personal computers and our TVs were not color and had no remotes.

But we sure as hell had sliced bread.
