We are average height in LA but here in Barcelona we are a midget, where the average height of those 18-50 is 6 feet, including the fish!

In Europe Malta used to win this by a big margin. In the 1970s when I first lived there average height (for men) was about 5ft 5in, I towered over them when we left in 1980 when I was 11. It's now 5ft 7in but I'm 6ft 1in so I can still see straight across crowded rooms.

Height is only partly genetic, rich people who ate good food (high protein) were a similar height to us 100s of years ago.

Henry VIII was over 6ft tall.

True about Guatemala. I live here, and I'm Guatemalan of some Spanish background and even tho I'm hardly what one would call tall (1.78 m/5'10) I always tower over men here when in a crowd. I do have some friends (also of not mayan background) who are taller than me, but most if the men here are short. It's the Mayan genes.

I was in Mexico City a couple months ago & saw a huge group of school children running for the bus. Some of them were tripping over themselves bags flying everywhere. The closer I got I realized they were all short central americans. Mexicans definitely look down on them.
