Nearly every one of the surviving original cast members will join Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley for the January 7 episode of the Actors Fund benefit series on YouTube. Set for the virtual get-together are Richard Thomas (John-Boy Walton), Michael Learned (Olivia Walton), Mary Beth McDonough (Erin Walton), Eric Scott (Ben Walton), Kami Cotler (Elizabeth Walton) and Judy Norton (Mary Ellen Walton). That leaves just two absentee brothers: Jon Walmsley, who played Jason Walton, and David W. Harper, who played Jim-Bob Walton.
The Stars in the House Waltons reunion is set for 8 p.m. Thursday on the Stars in the House YouTube channel and at starsinthehouse.com.

I loved that show, such a big part of my childhood. Maybe 10 years ago I saw Ralph Waite waiting at the deli counter at Jensen's in Palm Desert. He was dressed in baggy old jeans and a flannel plaid shirt, bushy hair...He looked like he just stepped off the Walton's set. My heart stopped.

I loved it as a young gay. John Boy seemed gay to me. I want to watch this but not sure I can put up with Seth Rudetsky. Is he still insufferable?

They look like the orphans in “Annie”.
That’s cool. Nothing against the Waltons.

Jim Bob is HUGE now ! Out of all of them,I had it bad for him . I just knew he had a big dick . Loved this show ,the Baldwin sisters especially.

I think David W. Harper is very shy. He’s now 59.

Judy Norton has a fun YouTube channel full of videos where she discusses her memories of various episodes of The Waltons as well as of her co-stars and the show's guest stars.

Y'all can't reunite the dead. John Boy was a fantastic serial sadistic killer in L&O SVU. RIP.

Jim-Bob was always my favourite character. David W. Harper was a natural actor - he made Jim-Bob very believable. I don't care if he's huge or not.

Jim-Bob was a believable and sympathetic character. I hope the actor is doing well and happy in life.
This show is comfort TV for me, much like Little House. Just the theme songs pull me back in time to my childhood living room.
My mother thought both shows were incredibly corny. She hated John Boy with a passion.
As an adult I see where she's coming from-I would never sit down to watch a program like The Waltons as an adult if I didn't have the childhood nostalgia.
I'm sure I would view it with the same contempt I hold for shows like Dr Q Medicine Woman or Hallmark movies.

What, no CoraBeth? She’s the Nellie Olsen of Walton’s Mountain and a big part of the show’s sexual subtext.

As long as Mary Ellen doesn't present bush.
I kid, I kid. And I just subscribed to her youtube channel.
Kami used to post regularly on FB, but sometimes fans were ridiculous in their expectations. She would explain how a certain scene was filmed, and they would cry that killed the childhood magic.
I think she also got shit for not licking Trump's boots, and conservative fans of the show couldn't handle it.

R10: John boy was also a married college professor on the DL and a drug mule for his ex con lover on Chicago PD. Dick Wolf knows how to kill beloved characters.

Some people hate this show and it took me years to figure the people I knew who did saw themselves in it, or saw people in the same economic bracket who were much nicer.
My father hated Archie Bunker and, well, it's not too far of a leap to guess why

Dammit, I missed the reunion.
