It was a tasteless and profoundly VULGAR comment to make publicly online, in order to be a fame Whore, by capitalizing on the death bed of an elderly woman who also happened to be the most notable, public figure in our lifetime.
Not OK. Doesn’t matter what your position is regarding her nasty tweet.
She wished her excruciating pain. That’s very sick. She’s disturbed.
MANY of us came from humble beginnings that were made possible due to colonialism, war, slavery, etc. But one does NOT go on twitter to spew vulgarity of the spirit, upon a person who is on their way out, ESPECIALLY when Queen Elizabeth had ZERO control over her future, and did not choose to be born a regent, or to even be born at all.
If you cannot muster up enough civility and decorum in a public space like twitter, with your REAL name attached to your account, then don’t get mad when another public figure decides to correct your discourse.
The biggest lesson I’m still learning, while even a tad late, is that sitting around and being justifiably angry about past harms done to me or others, is a manner in which I relinquish my autonomy and agency.
Eventually, being a victim stops working, as it should, because truly happy and empowered people who are mentally and emotionally healthy, MUST choose to let go of the past, in order to grab hold of the present and the future.
She’s a classless bore, who hasn’t even the wherewithal to know when to fake it, because believe me, at one point or another, each of us will have to fake it and do so until it becomes genuine.
It’s called self preservation in a society where we all exist together at once, not just in our own pain, within our own mind.
