Thoughts on his singing?
John Thompson
His name is Josh and he’s a singer who wants to make it a career. Some songs he sounds amazing on and others he’s fine. He should stick to songs that work with his voice well.
However… I love his face. Very handsome. Love his curly head of Goldilocks too.

Lovely voice, great tits and nice curly hair. Seems like a Broadway kind of voice for musicals.

Oh sorry. His name is Josh Olsen. He independently released an EP in 2020. A handsome thing too.

He has a good voice but tries to put more power behind it than is there. He needs to not hurt his vocals.

I thought he might be because of that video R7. Good to hear. Go Josh!

I think he’s bi but either way he likes men.

Stop this was really good though. I’d listen to a full cover of Beauty and the Beast from them.

There are two of them. He has an identical twin, but the twin is straight.

Another of him with the twin

Oh, this guy used to date Juan Pablo Dipace. Or however it’s spelled. Before Juan came out that is. Josh was Juan’s little secret.
| by Anonymous | reply 21 | January 24, 2024 5:44 AM |
I knew I recognized him. Yup, I was right. He was Juan Pablo Dipace’s boyfriend on the low. Juan just used to bring him to red carpets etc. you know, bringing his good friend everywhere with him? And people believed it.

He likes doing vocal runs in his singing which I don't like.
| by Anonymous | reply 23 | January 24, 2024 6:59 AM |
He has a nice voice but his style is very “variety”. He’ll probably do well doing cover songs on YouTube or could perform cover songs on “Dancing with the Stars” or something so he could make it into a career that way.
But todays music is about indie music and hip-hop and country. Sounds like he wants to make sappy Ryan Tedder ballads. He’s not hip enough to actually make music to sell. He can sell his voice with cover songs and Christmas songs and etc but I don’t think he could have a hit song or sell music.

Who knows r24. Music is always changing.
| by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 24, 2024 10:03 AM |
He sounds best when singing soulful music. That is actually when his voice shines best based on some of his videos.
| by Anonymous | reply 26 | January 24, 2024 10:13 AM |
I noticed that the music video at R6 is from 4 years ago and has 30k views.
| by Anonymous | reply 27 | January 24, 2024 10:19 AM |
That's some serious cookie smelling on that face.
| by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 24, 2024 10:22 AM |
R27 I’d say that’s good for someone who is an independent artist paying out of pocket. He isn’t signed to anyone.
| by Anonymous | reply 29 | January 24, 2024 10:25 AM |
It was a pretty good video actually R29. Hope he achieves what he wants.
| by Anonymous | reply 30 | January 24, 2024 10:30 AM |
Very cute, decent voice, needs a vocal coach, and to work on his exaggerated and unnecessarily dramatic arm/hand movements.
| by Anonymous | reply 31 | January 24, 2024 10:34 AM |
Seems capable but untrained. More chest voice, less head voice. Nasally is good for Country, but not Broadway.
| by Anonymous | reply 32 | January 24, 2024 11:07 AM |
I wonder if he wants to do Broadway. I don’t think so
| by Anonymous | reply 33 | January 24, 2024 11:18 AM |
He should star in the new musical JOCKSTRAP.
| by Anonymous | reply 34 | January 24, 2024 11:23 AM |
I don't like any nasal quality and I don't like "plaintive" or "sensitive" stylings and he indulges in both. I feel it sounds like singers are straining to squeeze out "musical turds". I like flat out singing. I don't even mind if the key is imprecise if the person is singing straightforward mechanically and honestly with the heart and mind. I think it takes a very talented and gifted singer to add all these stylings and when they are not gifted, it rings false to me.

He has a sweet voice. It’s unfortunate that most singers today feel they have to showboat with over-embellishment. It’s great when elders here post songs, often of female vocalists pre 1980, where the singer has strong vocals, but their own style.
| by Anonymous | reply 36 | January 24, 2024 12:29 PM |
On the upside, he's really good looking. And it must be helpful for a really good looking person to have an identical twin. Very handsome people often feel like they have created their good looks, but these kinds of twins always shows how much is the luck of genetics.
| by Anonymous | reply 37 | January 24, 2024 12:32 PM |
I like his face. And hair
| by Anonymous | reply 38 | January 24, 2024 2:23 PM |
Do identical twin brothers have identical dicks and holes? Mirrored traits? For example, if this gay twin has a thick 7 inch boner that curves a bit left, does the straight twin have a thick 7 inch boner that curves a bit right?
| by Anonymous | reply 39 | January 24, 2024 2:28 PM |
Pretty yes. But somebody, somewhere, has to put up with his bullshit. And he seems so vapid and into himself that he’s no doubt insufferable. Hard to be attracted to people obsessively in love with themselves.
| by Anonymous | reply 40 | January 24, 2024 2:32 PM |
Well, r40, you certainly took all of your cunt pills this morning.
| by Anonymous | reply 41 | January 24, 2024 2:37 PM |
R36 I agree about the showboating almost all young singers do now. He has a bad habit of doing that too often but his voice is nice.
I do like his cover of Human Nature. I think he did really well with this one and didn’t overdo the showboating riffs.

However, I hate how he sang Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas. He overdoes it with the embellishments.
I do like looking at his face though.

R43 that was painful. You have no ear.
| by Anonymous | reply 45 | January 24, 2024 8:24 PM |
R45 I disagree. I liked it.
And I love this cover.

I'm with R7. Methinks he's into the man on man sex!

Material is weak and that clouds my judgment. I would love to hear this generation of singers actually sing some old classics and standards, better to judge them by. They all want to over sing (American Idol effect?) I'd like to hear him sing 'moonlight in Vermont' or anything from the Sinatra playbook. Anything that makes them stop with the gimmicks.
| by Anonymous | reply 49 | January 24, 2024 8:45 PM |
apologies, my bad. I just caught the above at R46.
| by Anonymous | reply 50 | January 24, 2024 8:47 PM |
R8 He needs to pull those britches all the way down or up a bit. I don't like it to look like they are accidentally showing off cum gutters. Too thirsty.
| by Anonymous | reply 51 | January 24, 2024 8:50 PM |
Finally--some Olsen Twins I can appreciate.
| by Anonymous | reply 52 | January 24, 2024 9:15 PM |
Nothing cool. But this made me miss LA. The scenery behind him. I wish I was there. He’s very pretty.
Offsite Link| by Anonymous | reply 53 | January 24, 2024 9:52 PM |
Why do his arrangements sound so karaoke?
| by Anonymous | reply 55 | January 25, 2024 7:09 AM |
I agree with whichever poster said that he needs to control his hand gestures. A little goes a long way with arms and hands. Otherwise it starts to look as though he's conducting someone, even if it's only himself. Decent voice. I'd be curious to hear him sometime without microphone to hear what his voice is really capable of.

R56 I prefer his pop style singing to Joey Yates.
| by Anonymous | reply 58 | January 25, 2024 1:53 PM |
Yes but Joey makes me cry for the big note at the end of his/Barbra's song.
| by Anonymous | reply 59 | January 25, 2024 1:57 PM |
Steve Grand should mentor him.
| by Anonymous | reply 62 | January 25, 2024 2:54 PM |
He tries too hard. Too much over-accented, over-pronounced syllables. Needs to back off and sing plainer. Sing like you speak.
