Robert Guerrero
I just now noticed that when I type "Dukes Of Hazard" Chrome told me it was spelled wrong
All this time I was spelling it wrong.

I just learned two things. That was a tv show. And Hazzard is indeed spelled with two ‘z’s.
I always thought it was just an idiom that meant people (specifically male) who seek risk or cause trouble. I just looked it up because I was going to post something which is moot now.

I was about 50 when I learned a final resting ground is not spelled with a "n." It's cemetery. I actually have a Ph.D.
The smartest person I've ever known, a Rhodes scholarship finalist and Ph.D. who was my classmate, used "supposeably" instead of "supposedly."

Most people misspell it as "cemetary." My mnemonic: "Make your teacher blithe and merry ... put no 'a's in 'cemetery'. "

I used to spell prerogative "perogative" until I got it wrong on a test. My spelling has been deteriorating for years, but that's my perogative.

OP, I think the real issue here is why would you be typing Dukes of Hazards even once, let alone multiple times?

What I don't understand is why so many people either don't use or just ignore spell check. It's amazing how many times you see misspellings like "alot." Obviously spell check can't catch things that are misspelled with another valid word (e.g., desert/dessert, passed/past) but things that are flat out invalid words should always be flagged and corrected.

What? You thought that "cemetery" was spelled "cenetery"?
Also, it's "an 'n.'"

This wasn’t wrong, per say, but I worked in a government ministry with “public” in the name. We always had to check our documents and emails in case we mistyped it “pubic”.
