Writer Harper Scott

Which roles were most DL-worthy?

Anyone know about his private life? He never admitted being gay and, according to Wikipedia, after death was he entombed with his mother in San Diego (without his name being inscribed on the crypt).

King Tut on Batman was my introduction to this guy but he'll always be remembered as Flagg in WH2BJ.

My favorite role of his is his two appearances on Wild Wild West as "Count Manzeppi". He was also in the first episode of WWW as a Chinese-Mexican warlord.

He starred in three "Perry Mason" episodes with fellow closet case Raymond Burr. One of them was the only PM episode ever filmed in color.

I only know him from Whatever Happened to Baby Jane. He wears a wife beater at one point in the movie that shows off a hint of his chest hair and I remember finding him extremely attractive. I looked him up afterwards and was pleasantly surprised to read the gay rumors.

He was excellent as President William H. Taft in Backstairs at the White House.

Watch him on YouTube in the "This is Your Life" show on Bette Davis. He gets introduced and makes a funny quip about why he shouldn't sit next to Bette. It's very sharp.

He should've had done more comedy.
