I also found the unabomber in his own words series very blah. I started watching it when it was heartily recommended a few times on the Netflix thread. Those posters must be part of the Datalounge True Crime Regiment who see and hear things in such shows that the average viewer would not find intriguing.

I found his Ted K's voice so odd. I had never heard it before, although he had been mailing bombs since before I was born (and in DL years I died a long time ago)! I expected him to sound more like the hate-whispering Alec Baldwin, but he sounds like the type of guy in front of you in line at the Salina Kwick Stop, with glasses and a straggly-ass braided beard he can't stop pulling on, wearing a t shirt, sweat pants with a wallet chain, sandals, gauged ears, a necklace with a dragon head encircling a sphere of iridescent acryllic, long, nicotine-strained fingernails, a few large pock marks on his cheeks buying nachos and Mr Pibb for dinner before joining his friends to play Magic: The Gathering.

We are at a very strange point in history. It seems like the people that lobby so hard for trans people have bit off more than they can chew.

This is a can of worms I just can’t get into. It’s also anti-gay. The NHS’s numbers have quadrupled from 10 years ago. Most of these kids are just effeminate or masculine and are being diagnosed and given hormones when it’s likely they would have grown up to just be gay.

It’s not a haircut. Real things are being done to their bodies because they watch Contrapoints and want to be part of a trend. Or their parents are loons wanting to look trendy and rack up oppression points.

It really says it all that you can’t bring up these concerns without getting cancelled. And I could care less what the Christian Right has to say about this or gay people.

If you don’t fall in line with this then you’re called a nazi and thrown out. How very non-totalitarian of them.
