I think she's marvelous, and totally underappreciated.

I love her work but was reminded of this wonderful speech she made on the day marriage equality was passed.....and even if I knew nothing of her acting she would have my heart for this speech and this moment.

I must agree with critic Tom Shales, instead of playing J Fletcher as brassy sassy and eccentric, angela went with sedate, calm, your beloved granny....

I found It boring for that reason. nice grannys not as much fun as the zaney ones … ratings be damned, that's prob why they never gave emmy to her. very boring interpretation of a detective.

Her Rose in Gypsy is still the best I've ever seen. Hilarious, warm, sexy, disturbing, terrifying, pathetic, pushy, and heartbreaking. She brought it all where some actresses only bring one or two of these things to the table. Because of that, her Rose felt like a real person. I'm not even kidding when I say that I didn't see Tyne Daly on that stage, but Rose Hovick. I have no idea how she did it, but I've yet to see another Rose that came even close to what she was able to do with it.

Many have sung it better, certainly, but no one's ever acted it as well as she did.
