He wasn’t a victim of anything except his own vulnerable narcissism and extreme selfishness. He could have left his family, but didn’t want to deal with the financial consequences of that and I doubt he ever wanted to be a father. He placed his own needs above those of his wife and his innocent children, squeezed the life out of them and discarded them like garbage.

He is in a hell of his own making, where he deserves to be.
