Considering she's the child of Ethan Hawke and, more importantly, Uma Thurman, I have to disagree that Maya Hawke only looks good "in some angles" (more like all). And what, Will's the only one with a bad haircut? Most of them have cheesy, dated haircuts, from Steve's mullet to Lucas's high-top (and Nancy and her mom have classic "fried mall perm" hair).

If any of you bitches went to school in the '80s and still have your yearbooks, you might be in for a shock at how accurate the hair & costumes are.

Four years later the government was actively (but covertly) trying to figure out how to weaponize it, which was when Will was first taken into it. We don't yet know things like why it exists; how #1/Vecna ended up there (and whether he/it controls the whole thing); or even why time seems to have stopped in the Upside-Down in '83 on the day Will was taken. (It's probably more complicated than merely, "El opened it up.")
