I can’t drink their coffee anymore it’s like drinking a cupful of battery acid.

The only time I go to Starbucks or any fast food chain for that matter is when I'm a strange city and I am in a hurry and don't know the city any better.
Execrable. All of them.

I always get a headache designed for an elephant after a medium cup of Starbucks.

I have NEVER liked their coffee, I thought that it would grow on me eventually but no. I went there almost daily with a friend to gossip and check out the hot guys wandering through but I barely tolerated the coffee. I'm pretty sure that it causes diarrhea as well.

I can’t do a venti latte with regular dairy, but they do have reduced lactose and soy options. That’s what the linked article was about. But I suspect OP knew that.

Only Americans would consider the shit that Starbucks pushes “coffee”.

Burnt coffee. It's appalling dreck. Go to your locally-owned coffee shop and ask about their coffee bean sources. Coffee should be smooth, not like Las Vegas going down your throat.

Burnt and added caffeine, Calling Starbucks coffee is stretching the definition of the term.

Starbucks is the MacDonalds of the coffee world.

The cold brew tastes like a coffee milkshake.

Weird but Starbucks always gave me diarrhea. Other places, particularly in Europe, have strong black coffee that makes me go each time, especially coupled with a cigarette. However, that was more urgency than diarrhea. Starbucks, however, just gives me acid indigestion and explosive IBD symptoms. And, as OP said, it smells like battery acid. It's a good gift card to give for Christmas to the "more constipated" co-workers.

It's common with all coffee.

Ugh I only drink it if I’m desperate. Some business hotel chains offer only Starbucks as a breakfast option, and there is usually a line of people desperate for something caffeinated.
I always burn my mouth on it, and usually need to add a ton of milk or half&half to make it cool enough and mild enough to drink. It’s crap.
But....the instant version, Via, is actually very good. I keep that in the house in case of power failures. I can make hot coffee with it that is serviceable.

If coffee doesn't make you shit, it's not coffee.

They won’t just give it to you. You have to ask for it.

Rather than their brewed coffee, which can be nasty...order an Americano. It’s just espresso shots with water added to fill up the cup, and tastes much smoother and better.

I agree that it tastes like burnt coffee, but local shops burn their coffee too. I think it's the taste that people like. It's gotten to where I can't drink coffee unless I make it myself. If I have to drink coffee out, I get iced coffee.

I've hated it for years. Although I will admit to enjoying the cold brew. But I'm fine with what I make at home, or going to my locally owned coffee shop for a treat (dirty Chai latte, or a macchiatto topped with toasted coconut, sometimes with a shot of Monin Coconut syrup.

I love Starbucks but the only drink that did/does upset my stomach is that Peppermint Mocha Christmas Drink.
I think it is the peppermint oil, actually.
I have 2-3 times a year during the holidays, and other than those I take my coffee black with a few Stevias.
