Travis did a great job. The football players who have made it on to SNL — I’m thinking about JJ Watt in particular — just seem to have a different work ethic when they approach this task. I think that a lot of the hosts who are actors, as well as many of the cast members on the show, believe that they are always brilliant and constantly, amazingly funny so that they don’t have to put much effort into it — it’ll all just work out in the end. Sadly, they are often neither funny or amusing and the skits consistently fall flat.

This show, on the other hand, made me laugh more than any other in a very long time.

Football teams have dozens of plays to memorize so I bet he could take a quick glance at the cue cards and "get" everything for his part throughout each sketch.

The new SNL cast is most a big fat dud.

A lot of the praise Kelce is getting is that he is good looking and brought some masculine energy. Are you talking about his “memo” line? I guess the point of it is that Dilbert is an unfunny and dated comic, but then again so is SNL’s humor, and the joke about the joke was equally unfunny.

When Gardner started, I thought she showed promise, but now she annoys me so much. I can’t even put my finger on it.

That said, I feel like the whole cast stepped up a little bit this week. A lot of them were just a little bit better than normal. Bowen even played a character that wasn’t just Bowen.

I also think that after Lisa from Temecula caught on last week, there were several attempts to create original recurring characters. The singing couple that Ego and the other guy played. Bowen’s Hinge date character. And so on.
