23. I just discovered this during the pandemic and am up to season 15. My theory is everyone who announces they are leaving was actually pushed out so the show could go in a different direction. It doesn't seem as if Tom Ward and William Gaminara have done much of comparable stature since leaving. Did Tom Ward's career go bust because he aged out of prettyboy roles? What is he doing now?

I am just finishing seasons 22 and 23 on britbox. Couple good ones and I like the hunky guy a lot even if some of the personal drama (mum dying of dementia etc) is unnecessary. I went looking for earlier episodes on anazon, and series 1 SUCKS so bad I don't know how they didn't get cancelled. I'm going to skip to 10 tonight so we'll see how far I get.

David Caves is the gentleman's name. Last episode he was shirtless and shivering in a hospital bed bravely fighting off biological contamination.

The episode about South Asian cabdrivers trafficking white girls could never be shown here because it would be as a racist representation of Muslims. The episode about Black gangs couldn't either because of its depiction of their brutality . Did UK viewers have issues with the show's graphic violence or depiction of immigrants as thugs?
