Drag is steeped in appropriation and misogyny. They're all sad. The fact that it will be the trans crowd who'll get drag queens eventually cancelled (at least outside of gay clubs) when actual women have expressed disgust over drag for decades is disgusting.

The saddest drag queens are the young ones who build their brand on being "fishy" and can't conceive of an act beyond lip-synching to Beyonce or Ariane Grande. Like Charlotte Clymer tweets, they will not age well. Older comedy queens like Lady Bunny and Jackie Beat may be fat, bitter cunts but they are still good for a few laughs.

I never found Lady Bunny very funny, just loud and strident. And I heard numerous stories that she/he was quite an asshole to deal with (from other performers).

She/he has been thoroughly outclassed over the years by her peers, including RuPaul, Lypsyncha, and other, bigger talents.

Lady Bunny is a crazy old Berner, she's obsessed with that old fraud Bernie Sanders. Bunny has never been much of a thinker, just a low-level vaudevillian.

Bringing trannies onto Drag Race is a bizarre thing they're forced to do I guess. I liked GottMik as a contestant, but I couldn't deny she's a troubled soul.

I know a lot of drag queens. To me, the sad ones are the ones who coast for years, and never try to make their acts more modern or at least fresher. If they spent as much time on new jokes or talents, as they do in make-up and getting over hangovers, they would be interesting.

Trans? Fine. But this is a sad individual indeed. Gottmikk always seems to be "on" and projecting what his idea of being a gay man/drag queen is, as opposed to just being himself (and I'm not sure we even know who or what that is). It's exhausting.

Everything about him as a personality is exhausting, and most of it cringeworthy. In "Fashion Photo Ruview" for instance, he claims to absolutely hate nails on gloves. But it comes off as though he just arbitrarily chose it because he too needed something to hate (Raja hates mucklucks, Raven detests ankle strap shoes), in order to fit in. I can't imagine spending any amount of time around him in real life.

I might have respect for Gottmikk if I had any idea who he really is. But he doesn't even seem to know. I sure as hell don't. And this projection business is just sad.

Any trans person (who claims to be an actual woman) should be embarrassed to do drag. Drag is defined as cross gender dress. If you’re a literal woman, dressing as one shouldn’t be done for cheap amusement.

Then again, logic seems to have gone out the window with the whole trans trend. God, what a scary time.

I don't find the bioqueens or trans queens sad, to me drag is about exaggerating and making fun of the gender norms that are put on you. No woman is born knowing (maybe not even liking) makeup, clothes, etc. It's poking fun at the artifice of it all, which you don't have to be a man to do. Same with drag kings exaggerating macho sterotypes.
