I thought he was kind of handsome in the Dahmer movie, but that's all I know him from. His acting in it was also very good. It's why Fiona Apple famously said during her one and only MTV Awards acceptance speech, "For everyone watching this at home, I want you to know, this world is bullshit." It sounded like some grandiose depressive comment about the world from a melancholy young lady but she was actually referring to the music industry when she said "this world is bullshit." She had discovered that the music industry is not about music.

Tori Amos has talked about it all her career. She formally studied to be a musician her entire young life, and then she got into the business part of it in LA and found out the music industry is only called music; it has little to do with music. It's a marketing industry that sells skin and formulaic beats. Musicianship is an entirely different walk of life.

Disney doesn't make pop stars like they used to. Does Hollywood Records even exist anymore? I'm pretty sure Ross Lynch comes from a musical family, he's related to the Houghs, and does music because it's something he loves. I noticed a lot of these Disney-affiliated stars release music independently of the Disney brand like Olivia Rodrigo. The Joshua Bassett troll keep promoting that twink's music on here which again isn't Disney-related.

When I was a tween/teen in the 2000s, Disney pushed Jesse McCartney, Jonas Bros and Corbin Bleu of High School Musical and Mitchell Musso as their male idols. All of them were under Hollywood Records and Disney was slapped on their brands. They even had to do covers of Disney movie songs. Only McCartney and Jonas Bros had one or two Top 40 hits. They weren't sexualized either until later on went they tried to shed their wholesome images. I imagine if Zac Efron attempted, he could have been a huge success because he was actually very sexy with twunk energy.

I was too old to watch that Disney show but I did tune in and watch Sabrina because I watched the other one growing up. I'm not entirely sure it was a teen series either while they were running around praising the devil.

Harvey on the series was kind of dumb but sweet and Sabrina often treated him like he was stupid (until he dumped her) so I think Ross got a lot of love and sympathy by proxy.

He does have a great body but he definitely seems laid back. He just has a face that's not classically attractive. Maybe even not attractive at all in some ways but he looks "gettable." I think that can be attractive to some people.

Love that he's still with Jaz from the series years later.
