Ron and Fez
Robert Spencer
Inspired by the Norm thread and the Stern threads. Anyone else a fan? I got into the show around 2008 when the downfall of the show began. The Fez meltdown saga is one of the most fascinating pieces of radio ever. The tension and love between Ron and Fez was Shakespearean. Ron is so effortlessly funny and Fez told so many stories that DL would love. RIP FEZ.

[quote]There was also people putting things in the casket. Quirky knew how much grandma loved chocolate so now there's a bunch of Hershey Kisses in there with her, I'm like, it's Florida, they're going to melt.

I used to listen to them on an actual radio while riding the bus in Queens.

Love Ronnie B., but why does he always dress like he directs Talkies? The beret & scarf def hide the morbid obesity.

Wait, the Big Cat’s dead? How did I miss this?
Guess after all the standalone fruit was Ron and not Fezzy..

This thread led me to look up Fez on Wikipedia. I didn't know he died in August. His last days seemed horrible. I'm saddened by it, I really enjoyed listening to the show on the bus at night in Queens in the aughts. Simpler times. I carried a small radio for years after 9/11 as all communications were off except radio for that day, perhaps for several days.

Opie is gonna milk this death on his podcast, if he hasn’t already.

This year I became a fan of Ron & Fez after coming accross the Cakehorn meltdown on youtube through my recommended. They've been my companions at work for weeks now. I adore them. Praise the kind souls online posting the archives.
Steak gate is another favorite of mine, I never tire of it (although of course it's a bit)
After Howard Stern's collapse I didn't know what to listen to anymore and I find Ron and Fez show superior in every way anyway. Stern is an asshole and actually not that funny by comparison.

Fez's descent into madness was merely a reflection and a lersonaification of society & culture during that 2009 - 2016 time.
We all descended into madness; Fez just embodied that fall and gave it voice.

Almost every ‘name’ formerly featured on or affiliated with The Opie & Anthony Show is now either dead (RIP Fezzy, Patrice, Norm, and Steve C), jailed, blacklisted, unemployed/out of the business, or bankrupt. Only Executive Producer Sam ‘Missing Link’ Roberts escaped this fate, and he works for Carny Folk now.
The ‘edgy’ NYC talk-radio Era really went out with a blaze of cocks.

Did Fezzy actually die a virgin, in the end? I punched out too early for the reveal.
