Rich Little
Robert Guerrero
Was he the only impressionist to ever become famous?
I bet he was irritating as fuck.

Yeah he's annoying. Could be kind of handsome if he wasn't such a douche.

What made him a douche. I remember him - but I don't remember much about him

No, Frank Gorshin and John Byner were also impressionists, but they as actors and comedians showed more range.

Frank Gorshin - now he was annoying

He’s still alive and performing in Vegas. Who does he imitate now? Kirk Douglas?
| by Anonymous | reply 10 | March 14, 2019 1:24 AM |
Frank Gorshin played my favorite batman villain.

So are we treating this man, who still draws breath, as if he were dead? I can deal with that.

Vaughn Meader became famous for his JFK impersonation. There's a famous story about Lenny Bruce doing his first set after the Kennedy assassination. Lenny came onstage, smoking and pacing. Then he looked directly into the audience and said "Vaugn Meader is fucked!".

Fuck no, of course he's not the only famous impressionist.

I just watched a Columbia short film called Sailors Holiday (1944) which is full of impersonators. The Cagney and Edward G. Robinson ones are especially good.

Fred Travalena sends his regards from beyond the grave.

On the Kopykats, Rich did an impersonation of Fred MacMurray to guest host Fred MacMurray's face. It was brilliant and ballsy.
Sadly, no one does Fred MacMurray any more.

Who are all the super olds on here who keep putting down Rich Little? Can you explain to the rest of us why you puked?

David Frye was my favourite. His Nixon and William F. Buckley were great. He seems to be largely forgotten these days - I guess too many of his targets are now ancient history.
