This is so meta, since the title of "Reservoir Dogs" was itself a riff on another film title, "Au revoir, les enfants" (Tarantino didn't know how to pronounce it, so he called it "Reservoir Dogs" instead and thought that was hilarious).

My favorite recent series. Wonderful all around. I fell in love with these kids and the weirdos on their reservation. Funny and brought me to tears a few times.

This show is amazing. For the first few installments, it kind of lulls you into thinking it’s just gonna be kind of a funny, goofy hangout show with lovable characters, which it is, but then it totally knocks you sideways with a few of the best episodes of any series I’ve seen in ages. There’s nothing like it on tv.

I love it too. Every actor was perfect. Bill Burr playing Oklahamian was amazing too. I had no idea he could get rid of his Boston accent. The gentle needling of white people was great. As Homer Simpson would say, He's right, we're so lame.

Has anyone seen Taika Waititi's "Boy"? Taika created ResDogs and "Boy" is sort of a New Zealand version of it.

Such strong first two episodes, show still brilliantly meshes super funny and super poignant moments. Megan Mullally's cameo was hysterical, I cackled at the fact that her character can't even manage to read a single page of Gloria's Steinem's book per day. Had no idea Megan grew up in Oklahoma.

r26 I think that's purely coincidental. Taika's involvement was pretty hands-off, this is all Sterlin Harjo and rez humour. Basically just helped him get his foot in the door, probably threw some money at it as well.
