JK Rowling is a hero who was simply standing up for women. She changed the lives of a generation of readers who grew up with Harry Potter and continues to inspire millions of new readers every year. She spoke out against those who were fired for daring to stand up for women. The "pushback" she got consisted of book burnings, death threats, rape threats, and incessant internet bullying that still continues to this day. She is the victim.

It's not equiavalent to how gays have been treated at all. If gay people, for example, instead of fighting for their own right to marry had fought to make straight people marry people of the same sex, that would be closer to what trans are trying to do to, mostly, women. We fought for our own rights. Trans fight to impose themselves on other people and call it fighting for their rights.
