Random observation, I have a cousin who is selfie-obsessed, posts them every day for no reason - in her 40s no less. She prides herself on supposedly having RBF, and often captions her selfies thus. The thing is, she doesn't have RBF, her face is warm and animated. It's one of those things, you either have it or you don't, it can't be faked.

Point is, RBF is seen is kind of cool and desirable, I guess because models display it in most fashion photos?

There's no such thing as 'resting bitch face'.

I'm certain the term was created by misogynist who can't fathom that any woman wouldn't be thrilled to interact with them, see them be leered at by them.

And can't properly interpret women's expressions. It's a pernicious way of demanding certain behaviour of women wrapped in some sort of joke. Which woman hasn't been told 'smile [insert condescending term] it might never happen' or to 'cheer up'.
