"Jon Gosselin is serious about his new job as a stripper.

So serious, in fact, that he lost 25 pounds in preparation for his big debut at Atlantic City's Dusk nightclub on April 1.

"I lost weight," he revealed to Page Six this week. "I lost 25 pounds -- for my health, too. I have hereditary high blood pressure. So I started dieting. My girlfriend is a nurse practitioner. I just try to be healthy."

His reveal comes just a few days after news broke that Gosselin had changed career paths. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, the former "Jon & Kate Plus 8" star proudly confirmed the rumors."

Feel bad for the kids with a stripper dad. He was working in a restaurant at one point. I give him credit for working regular-ish jobs & walking away from reality shows. Kate, the ex-wife, was the opposite, always trying to stay on TV but with her sour attitude.

I don't know why people think it's cute to see a couple where the husband acts hapless and as if he's just going along for the ride. That's what that John & Kate + 8 show was like.

The kid is 16 and troubled and/or disordered and teen boys are not exactly the paragon of angelic behavior and honesty. A few weeks back, he was singing high praise for his dad.
