I have read that building and building muscle is sort of more dangerous for tall men because the heart already has to work a little extra because of your height and adding muscle requires that the heart work even more.

I feel this is the case with many IG bodybuilders who try to be seen as alpha males at the top of the scale. They couldn't sustain that image if they don't get the first place in a competition that basically judges and rewards male sex appeal R388

Some of them don't do it out of vanity but think of themselves as serious athletes. Sometimes guys like that really don'0t want any praise on IG at all. Obviously Mike doesn't fall into that category

I'm afraid that's literally impossible. Men pursuing to enhance their secondary sex characteristics for exhibition is inherently sexual. We can agree that for some sexualization/self-objectification/getting laid more is more relevant than for others, but sexualization/sex appeal is a goal for all bodybuilders. R430

r432 one of my coworkers body builds in local shows and I can assure you that he personally at least does not think about it that way. He used to play a lot of sports in college and he told me he thinks about it the same was as he thought about swimming or basketball. He just needs to be competing in something to stay grounded and disciplined
There definitely are people who think about it more the way you're descibing but it's not universal.

I think we have a disagreement here. Every man who bodybuilds pursues sexual gratification one way or another to any extent. Obviously people won't reveal all their motivations and impulses even to their closest friends; they don't have to. But bodybuilding and sex are inseparably connected. Even normal looking people try to highlight their best physical qualities to look good. R433
