I'm with r6/r9. I've seen far worse celebs/celeb offspring/celeb wannabes than Rumer Willis, yet people on DL and the internet at large have always seemed completely unreserved about bashing her for her appearance, even back when she was a kid. It's unfortunate that she's the child of celebrity parents who were both known for their attractiveness yet she happened to come out rather average looking, but she's far from the ogre that she's always been made out to be. So her chin/jaw is more masculine than most womens'. So what? She's been mocked and insulted endlessly about it, and then when she had some plastic surgery done she only got bashed more for it. Is she supposed to kill herself? Literally put a paper bag over her head when she goes out in public? Hide in shame whenever she sees a camera lens pointed in her general direction?

I feel bad for celebrity children because almost none of them ever come out looking like fans want them to: as attractive carbon copies of their famous parents. Even in the rare cases that a celeb has a kid who's very attractive, the kid won't have the same interests or talent or charisma as what made their parent(s) famous. There are plenty of celebrity children who grow up to be entitled, vapid, narcissistic, attention-seeking young adults but if Rumer is one of the worst offenders she's never made it onto my radar. On the other hand, some of the better-looking ones with decidedly awful personalities seem to take less flack, or at least they get rightfully called out for their shitty behavior rather than shat upon for the way they look. If I had to spend a day in the company of Jaden Smith, Paris Jackson or Rumer Willis I'd definitely choose Rumer.

I'll add that I'm not the kind of person who usually bothers to protest when ppl create threads about celebrity kids. It's fascinating to look at pics of them and discuss their public behaviors and any projects they might choose to do in the arts fields. But the Willis girls have always and only been ripped for their jawlines without respect to anything else.

r12 I don't think she's that bad either. I enjoy the lantern jaw joke occasionally but she actually looks good there. The Willis kids and EJ Johnson are widely hated here. Not sure why. Tom Hanks son Chet Haze is way douchier than they could ever be but I guess he gets a pass.

Same with Ivanka. Hate her all you like, but the woman is not fug. I always remind DLers that long before her father threw his hat in the ring for POTUS, DL fave Rosie O'Donnell called I.T. the most beautiful creature she had ever seen. I have a feeling that Ivanka might be on of those people who are more striking in person than their photos would allow, But regardless....she ain't fug.
