BJK came out in 1981, she was in her late 30's and hid behind a "bi" label for years. Martina grew up under communism and was called names her whole life. Osaka has the pressure of being the highest paid female EVER. She probably has depression, at least, and has bad days, give the girl a break.

I'm torn on this too. On the one hand, it's really shitty behavior to yell that a player sucks when she's about to serve. I've never seen that before in tennis since people are usually really quiet and respectful during tennis serves. On the other hand, being told you suck is shit-talk from a crowd that every professional athlete has dealt with at some point in their career. There are FAR worse things people could be shouting. I think if a comment like that can cause Naomi to unravel, then she really needs to sit down with a sports psychologist and do some serious mental work.
