In 1984 she ran for Congress as a Democrat in a Republican-majority district in Pennsylvania. Buddy Ebsen (Jed Clampett) contacted her Republican opponent and recorded a radio ad saying Nancy was too liberal and not to vote for her. She would likely have lost the election anyway, but lost 34% to 66%. Was Ebsen the asshole?

Yes, she was definitely a fave.

Ebsen was the asshole, yes, R8. May he be rotting.
I liked that one of Nancy's exes (well, the only one I know of) was Maxene Andrews. (Of the Andrews Sisters, young ones; look THEM up and enjoy their brilliance.)

She was good, I liked her as a kid.
[quote]In 1989, Kulp gave an interview to author and LGBT activist Boze Hadleigh in which she said,
As long as you reproduce my reply word for word, and the question, you may use it ... I'd appreciate it if you'd let me phrase the question. There is more than one way. Here's how I would ask it: "Do you think that opposites attract?" My own reply would be that I'm the other sort — I find that birds of a feather flock together. That answers your question.

With this picture, I finally get the comparison to Tim O'Tay. There is a strong resemblance.

I adored Ms. Jane. I loved the entire cast, until I found out that Buddy Ebson was a major homophobe.
