Name the chefs you hate the most
Harper Scott
I can’t stand Ina Hippo Garten .Ever since she snubbed that little boy who had cancer who wanted to see her I dropped watching her show or even remotely paying any attention to her. I can’t stand to look at that arrogant haughty social climbing snob. Some chiefs were appalled by Ian’s snub that they took the time to see the little boy. My niece died at the age of 8 of cancer and it hurts me to think there are people who are so cruel like her.
I used to like Sandra Lee’s Semi- Homemade. She took basic cake mixes and readymade icings etc. that average working class and middle class people would by at the grocery store and turn them into amazing dishes. However, I have to say, my mother bought Sandra’s cook book and used a couple of her recipes. They were so gross we all wanted to barf. I was shocked how bad they were. I started to really hate Sandra when she did a second show for people on a very tight budget because it was a degrading put down. Her hair was unkempt, the kitchen was not decorated, and her dishes looked really horrible. It was a major insult to poor people. My family and their friends were working class and they took care of their appearance, and they were and are, very, very clean. Their kitchens were decorated and put together really cute. Their lives didn’t remotely mimic the depressing image Sandra was trying to portray on her second show. It was as if a rich woman was trying to connect with the little people who lived outside her isolated wealthy world, just horrible!
I can’t stand Robert Irvin. Yes he goes to restaurants that need help and many are in horrible shape. However, he is jerk who thinks he knows everything. He screams at people when they have tablecloths on their tables because he hates tablecloths and he said no one uses table clothes anymore which is a lie. 5 star restaurants use white tablecloths. In fact, in one of the episodes of his show, Restaurant Impossible, he yelled at one owner to go across the street and observe the successful restaurant. What did they have on their tables? White tablecloths. He gets angry and says if the place isn’t modern, people won’t come in and dine, yet there are many hole in the wall restaurants which are packed with diners who don’t care what the place looks like because the food is amazing. Guy’s show is a testament to that fact. The interior designers he brings in are horrible and once they are done decorating the interiors of the restaurants, they ALL look like the same sterile cafeterias and so generic and boring. He doesn’t get American tradition. He doesn’t like the traditional American diners is an American tradition. Can you imagine if we went to England and tried to change the classic English pub? He controls and changes everything, even somethings that don’t need changing. He wants to tell the person I want it done this way or that way.
Speaking of Robert Irvin, I watched his wedding when they filmed it on a TV special. He invited Guy, who I don’t like that much, and he invited Michael Chiarello. Guy extended his hand out to Michael and Michael snubbed him right in front of the camera when it was rolling. Even though I don’t Guy, I think Michael seems like an arrogant snob who I can’t stand.
Someone once posted on DL that they knew someone who worked on Gordon’s show which people compete and he yelled at them. I can’t remember his American show because I never watched it, but I remember the poster who said Gordon made some of the male and female contestants have sex with him if they wanted to get anywhere. BTW, I knew people who have worked with Martha Stewart and they said she is a major bitch! I was told a couple of stories about her nastiness and they were just horrible. However, despite who she is as a person, I think she does have classy taste and I love the various products she created that were super and retro.
I like the Pioneer Woman. She seems really likeable and her food looks super.
I love Nancey Fuller, Alton Brown, and I love Sunny and Artie, who have super personalities.
