I see speedos on men in the same way that I see bikinis on women - if you’re comfortable in what you’re wearing then go for it! Nothing more cool to me than a confident sixty something well rounded woman having fun at the beach in whatever she wants to wear. Same deal for the male equivalent. And I say that as someone from a country where speedos have made a resurgence in the past couple of years after a couple of decades of board shorts. Own it! Go for it! Whatever works for you! But I’m not a body fascist - I’ve never quite understood the psychology of that.

I prefer to wear speedos for tanning purposes, but for general walking around it's good to have some shorts to slip over them - it is a bit weird to me to be parading around in what is basically underwear.
I'm not a fan of excessive bush peeking out over the top (or even worse - the sides). Trim that bush guys.

the last time I was able to fit into a Speedo (meaning I could wear one and not be gawked at) -- the last time I put one on and it fit was in my freshman year of college.
I'd gotten a bad bug or infection over the summer and lost about 10 lbs, dropping down to 128 lbs or so. I'm just shy of 5'7".
that was a long time ago, but dreams die hard. I'm trying to eat better, work out, take probiotics, and work on the tummy. That seems to be the problem.
Less calories, more exercise.

These are not pictures of guys in speedo's. They're pictures of stunningly beautiful men/models in speedo's. Every one of them would look good in anything or nothing. Not realistic at all. Very few men look good in speedo's (older unfit men stuck in a time warp take note). For me, board shorts are deeply un sexy. Shorter, tighter (not skin tight) swim shorts look better on dad bods. I can count on one hand the number of straight, American male professional athletes from the four major sports (NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL) whom I have seen pictured in speedos.
Then, there's rugby...I can count on one hand the number of straight men who play rugby (in both codes) who have never worn speedos (Americans too). It's the culture of the sport.

if I won the lottery, I'd buy a nice house with a pool in the back suitable for laps.
I'd get a home delivery meal plan; eliminate sugar, do crunches; meditate, get lots of sleep and I'd get into a speedy by August 2021.
I remember the summer between my high school senior year and freshman at college I had a bad bug and lost like 12 lbs. I got down to 127 and I was 5'7" -- no stomach and I was able to wear a speedo and look good in it.
It'd be a long way to get back to there, but I'd love to try.
