As a rule, I avoid threads with emojis but had to pop on to agree that this is surprisingly good. And I didn’t hate the other Willow Smith song that recently got a lot of air play even though I wanted to when I found out it was her.

Christ, I maybe an eldegay, but I’m not out of touch. This song has been huge on TikTok for awhile now. Here’s one of my favorite renditions, Max, the guy in the back is usually the quiet standoffish boyfriend, but here he really commits here full on.

What is it about this song!!?? Did they put crack in it?

I'm a bit of a music snob and almost exclusively listen to soul, R&B, etc (of the Erykah Badu/D'angelo/Maxwell variety). I can't stand the entire Smith family and I almost never go for this sort of faux-emo-rock sound, with self pitying lyrics and an affected British 'punky' accent.

But I haven't been able to stop listening to this for the last two months lol. Especially the live version (and from the comments I read a lot of other people who didn't think they'd get into it feel the same). I have to say hats off to these two and the producers, it's just one of those examples of great pop songwriting. The simplicity and the harmony are very infectious but not in an abrasive way.
