Lets discuss current Rock music
John Thompson
As the algorithms keep throwing me folk-pop (heavy on the autotune) recommendations, I want to listen to more rock music.
I’m not usually a Spotify user but I went to their Billboard Modern Rock chart playlist for inspiration. I have no idea if these are actually the best selling/most listened to rock tracks of the week, but it took me right back to high school, being crammed with Green Day, Pearl Jam, Metallica and Linkin Park (how are they still a thing?).
So what contemporary rock does DL like? Hozier, Phoebe Bridges?

Rock is dead.
Gen Z have a taste for nu-metal which I didn’t see coming.

The most streamed on Spotify, rock wise, features Ed Sheeran and Imagine Dragons, plus single appearances by Queen, The Killers and Arctic Monkeys.
