If it's not Killer Sally Kirkland, I'm not interested.

I tried. But it's not compelling for some reason. I think I'm burnt out on murder docs.

I hated the prosecution lawyer. Undoubtedly, Sally was a damaged and violent woman, but her husband was damage and violent man on 5 steroids: saying a violent woman can't be a battered woman is ridiculous. That said, 2nd degree murder was right considering the bare facts of the incident. She shouldn't have had to stay in jail that long though.
The subculture of men wanting to wrestling with muscular women was interesting, if unsurprising.

Her husband seemed like an abusive scumbag.

Yeah, her husband seemed like a colossal douche bag loser, but she was no saint (obviously). Her son is hot, though. This really only needed to be one, one-hour episode vs. three. I was really bored by the end.

She and her husband were both damaged people and roids didn't help. But she was abused and it seems the jury didn't consider that and her sentence was overkill....so to speak. And the prosecutor was and continues to be a Class-A asshole. I felt bad for her kids, they had an upbringing that left them damaged and their military careers only compounded the damage. They both seemed very sad. I'm glad though they seem to have a relationship with their mom now. I'd take that cute son of her's under my wing and cheer him up.

The obtrusive mole on her daughter Shantina's forehead was very distracting.

Ties in with muscle worship.

I know you're going to think "Yeah, no duh," but this documentary made me see how trauma perpetuates itself. Sally was abused by her stepfather, then she marries an abusive man. Her kids grow up watching this man abuse their mother, then they go into the military and become even more traumatized and get PTSD.

Sally’s got a thing for black guys. She’s on her third black husband now.

I love the stories they start telling about this woman - she beat up the mailman, beat the crap out of a man who slapped her son, etc. lmao

Thanks OP. I watched all three episodes. I don't get how the DA thought it was premeditated. The evidence shows she asked the friend to stay instead of retrieving food, because she feared what might happen. It's pretty clear things would have went differently had he stayed.
She is an intriguing person. She actually looks really good for 65 all things considering. They kept her in way too long. Really sad story. Lovely, troubled people. I just want to hug her and her kids. I love Norfleet/Stewart. I am so happy she found him.

That prosecutor is a pos and the feedback from the public this week has been horrible towards him. He’s a judge now.
Of course that blowhard Diamond Dimond just had to be part of this. She’s still trashing liberals like the good little MAGAt she is.

Wow, good find R13. Since he's not in prison, I assume the charges were dropped maybe? That was only about three years ago.

The son seems very vulnerable....like he could easily be talked into dabbling in dick if, he hasn't already.

I watched it but I felt myself not feeling much for Sally - she had too many lame excuses for staying with a philandering wife beating creep. She seemed to take a lot of her anger out on the other women her husband was seeing, wanting to fight them and taking back the inflated hubby.
I got a little cringed out with the schmo fighting because I used to listen to Howard Stern and he had a regular on the show named Nicole Bass who was a gigantic female bodybuilder and she also resorted to pimping herself out to creepy men who wanted to wrestle big muscular females and Nicole's situation sounded so sad and desperate. It worked out for Sally that she had dudes who were loyal and gave money for her bail.
Her poor kids had to live with two messes as parents and then to see one blow away the other. They both have had struggles after the shit upbringing and I hope they can eventually heal. There were two different stories of what led up to the fatal shooting, but I think Sally snapped because of jealously, not fear. The fact that Sally reloaded and went back to shoot her husband in the face lessens my sympathy for her.

I just started this... it's keeping my attention... being only 3 eps helps.
The son does seem a little gay but he talked about going to the shows because of the sexy women

I read an interview with her after I watched the series and she said the husband was sleeping with guys
