The sad part is that she is incapable of such a laughably basic task, and clearly is proud of it. People who can't do basic tasks like this or do laundry like to think it makes them seem higher class or wealthy because they've always had someone else to do this stuff for them when in reality, it makes them seem ridiculous and incompetent.

It's a similar thing to smug people who claim not to know about wildly popular pop culture - like the Kartrashians. I mean, I don't know the intimate details of their silly lives, but I know who they are and some of the more basic, well-known references about them.

Willful ignorance of any stripe does not make you seem as evolved as you think it does.

No matter how much money I had, if I had children I would make sure that they were taught basic life skills from early childhood.

I would make sure they could handle basic cooking, laundry, ironing, tire and old change, and the like. I would require them to practice those skills until they demonstrated proficiency. I don't need them to compete on Top Chef, but adults who can't perform basic tasks like follow a cutting vegetables and follow simple written recipes are worthless.

Everyone whether you own a car or not should know how to change a flat tire.
