Father of Leslie Brown the cunt who stunk up The Turning Point movie.....

by Anonymousreply 2September 15, 2021 2:52 PM

R3, it's call "The Gay Face".

by Anonymousreply 4September 17, 2021 11:34 PM

It’s possible but even in 1981 he could have been easily misdiagnosed.

by Anonymousreply 8September 17, 2021 11:44 PM

R8, he was misdiagnosed with sucking too few cocks, if you know what I mean.

by Anonymousreply 9September 18, 2021 12:29 AM

It was more likely one of the common diseases of the time. I list them here:

-- Tuberculosis

-- Malnutrition

-- Rickets

-- Rheumatic Fever

-- Terminal Gay Face

Is that a bent toothpick holding his right eye open?

by Anonymousreply 11September 18, 2021 12:37 AM

He is probably sitting on an old style electrical plug.

by Anonymousreply 12September 18, 2021 1:00 AM

Please! We No Longer use the Term "Gay FAce" It's off limits here in happytown U.S.A.

by Anonymousreply 13September 18, 2021 1:01 AM

Hey sailor, wanna go around?

by Anonymousreply 14September 18, 2021 1:09 AM

What happens in the navy stays in the navy.

You may scoff, but the man was a gorgeous dancer and has great moments in the Jane Powell epic (featuring Kaye Ballard and a good Hugh Martin score) The Girl Most Likely. He is Kaye’s love interest but also the featured dancer in the delightful Balboa number, choreographed—mostly in shallow water, which certainly adds something, by Gower Champion. To further encourage viewing of this delightful picture, let it be known that two of Hollywood’s hunkiest actors, Cliff Robertson (at his absolute peak) and Lucille Ball supporter Keith Andes, are two of Jane’s love interests. The third is, god help us, Tommy Noonan.

by Anonymousreply 16September 18, 2021 1:13 AM

Nobody's laughing, R16, we're all just curious about the randomness of this thread subject.

by Anonymousreply 17September 18, 2021 1:15 AM

Both later co-stars of Marilyn Monroe in Clash By Night and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes respecfully.

by Anonymousreply 18September 18, 2021 1:18 AM

Did you mean "respectively", R18.

by Anonymousreply 19September 18, 2021 1:20 AM

How do you "cover up" the cause of death of the death of someone who wasn't remotely newsworthy?

by Anonymousreply 21September 18, 2021 1:56 AM

He looks like the bassist for The Cure

by Anonymousreply 22September 18, 2021 2:50 AM

I like how he was never angry. I think that was his best characteristic.

He was the kind of guy, who, no matter what.

Like when you fucked with him, he never go angry.

HIV + TB = AIDS

I like him as one of the suitors in SEVEN BRIDES/BROTHERS -- especially during the challenge dance. He would have been a better brother than Jeff Richards.

He's the tallest guy in the back here......a couple of those brothers were UGLY!

Strangely, R18, both their co-star gigs with MM were before TGML (1958 release), Clash dated 1950, GPB 1952. And of course Tommy provided more than competent support to Judy in A STAR IS BORN—easy to forget as that film is so dominated by Judy and JM it’s practically a two hander.

by Anonymousreply 27September 19, 2021 1:40 PM

Noonan was handsome in a hangdog way for about 3 minutes in Star is Born.

by Anonymousreply 28September 19, 2021 1:43 PM

Agreed, R28. His half brother John Ireland, otoh, was extremely hot, especially when young. Did they have the same mother? Or father? Of course this has nothing to do with Kelly Brown, so to legitimize this post and add to the KB info: Kelly was in the cast of the musical that introduced B. Streisand to the world, I Can Get It for You Wholesale. He was unbilled, but in the 61-62 Theatre World there are two photos that include him. He played Buggo. So now you know, and aren’t you glad.

by Anonymousreply 29September 20, 2021 3:26 PM

I like how he danced like his life depended upon it.

by Anonymousreply 30September 21, 2021 3:57 AM

You mean like when they used to use hot coals to train dancers, in Old Hollywood

by Anonymousreply 31September 21, 2021 4:08 AM

I of course was in favor of the hot floor. When Louis B. Mayer showed up and said "Turn the heat up."

Many of the men in my Clique became aware that dat,

The fields are cold and wet with rain. After a summer shower.

by Anonymousreply 33September 21, 2021 4:11 AM

We called him L'il Nelly Kelly.

by Anonymousreply 34September 21, 2021 5:35 AM

Terminal Gay Face killed him.

it might kill me.

Kelly Brown died of cardiac arrest according the NY Times. His wife was ballerina, Isabel Mirrow Brown, who was a childhood friend of Nora Kaye, wife of Herbert Ross. "The Turning Point" was based (highly fictionalized) on Nora and Isabel's friendship. Kelly and Isabel's daughter, Leslie, was cast to play herself after Gelsey Kirkland dropped out.
