Usually, Depp plays a character that has been completely fleshed out for him in the script, so there isn't any need to interpret anything. Everyone was dunking on him because he spent tons of money on a couch that a Kardashian had owned, because one of his kids wanted it.
I don't think there's much chance that his career is going to rebound after this. There may be a lot of people who are personally on his side because he was victimized by his crazy bitch cunt of an ex, brah, but they're not going to offer him any kind of meaningful job.

He has said this multiple times. He just wanted to clear his name. He's more focused on having fun with the Hollywood Vampires thee days and is about to release an album with Jeff Beck this July. I agree, however, the booze and drugs has impacted him negatively over the years, but he's nearly 60 now. It's not like he hasn't made his name in the film industry and he looked great right up until 2016. I don't think he gives a shit now that he's old enough to he a grandfather.
