IMO Karen has mental health and anger issues. Her behavior was not normal, likely her boiling rage erupted when the gas nozzle didn't work and her anger and racism was inflamed. I spent the better part of 20 years in convenience store work . In states from the east to the west coasts and in between . In all my years doing so,I never heard people act like this woman . It's also not true that Hispanics are mainly Native Americans and Spanish although certainly some Hispanics can claim Native American heritage along with Spanish. The word Hispanic pertains to people of Spanish (all or mixed) affiliation who may or may not speak Spanish. It's an umbrella term that encompasses people from many countries.
I live in a part of the country once occupied by Mexico. I know many Hispanics from Mexican, to Puerto Rican, Cuban, Spanish, Central American, and they are a variety of ethnic mixes and some are pure Spanish.
One of my friends is of 100% Spanish descent and is from a wealthy family in Mexico. The "upper crust" typically did not mix with the indigenous peoples to maintain their status as elites as well as power and control of their lands and the "peasants" that live on it, much as the sharecroppers of old were not allowed to own land and were subject to the whims of the landowners.
Another friend of Mexican descent has a mother of 100% descent, from a wealthy family, who's parents had a fit when she married a mixed Spanish/Indigenous man. It was a successful marriage, they are a highly educated family. Bigotry knows no boundaries, it's everywhere.

Most people with Mexican or Central American heritage are mostly American Indian and the Indians don't all look alike anyway. It gets more complicated with Caribbean islands--more African heritage, even East Indian heritage in the old British colonies. there has been tremendous oppression of the indigenous people in most of these countries and they make up a big part of the migration stream along with people of mixed and mostly Indiana ancestry. Karen here probably doesn't know anything about that.
South Americans are much more likely to be European, but often not as European as they would like to think---Brazil had few European women for a long time---old family usually means some African or (less often) Indian ancestry. It's kindof like someone yammering about their old "Georgia" family and you know their ancestors were indentured slaves and/or pretty criminals and they probably have some Black cousins who are closer than they'd imagine.

R230 - while true that the Boomers were the wealthiest generation in history, Gen X went to college at a time when higher education was not nearly as financially burdensome as has been for Millennials or will be for Gen Z. Gen X entered the job market at a time when the economy was strong and jobs still fairly stable and have been at them long enough to have built a 401K, whereas Millennials did so on the heels of the recession. We also were able to buy property and to inherit (of we were lucky) some of he enormous wealth of the Boomer generation.
In a sense, I totally understand Millennials being so frustrated...they live in a time where their chance at stability or any assets are pretty poor.

The Natives of both countries lost their land to Europeans. All of us who are not indigenous in either country were occupiers, colonizers, immigrants and interlopers. Part of Old Mexico we purchased, a steal at 15 million, and part they ceded to us after losing the Mexican-American War. But, how ironic, Karen yelling at a woman who's roots were in that spot, telling her to go home, when Karen was in fact the interloper.
With the filthy rich trying to co-opt our democracy and Mexico struggling with a myriad of issues, both countries have a long way to go to provide freedom and equality to the citizenry. That said, Mexico is a beautiful country with a vibrant culture. We have a lot to offer, too. Both countries struggle to get it right.

Most of the women in the videos are too old to be Karens. They are more Patsys or Susans. And a lot of them are too ugly to have ever been beauties while young so I don't buy the whole story of faded beauty and their breakdowns over it. Also, some of those women are straight up drug addicts, they aren't entitled. Robert Harrian said he first saw the video when a friend emailed it to him Sunday morning. He says he and his wife aren't racist and that a mental illness can make her act out of character.
A former assistant told him that before the video's rise to internet infamy, the law firm had two or three reviews. Before getting some taken down, there were about 1,300 negative ones, he said.
Internet users were able to reclassify the law firm on Google's first page as a public restroom and briefly changed the main photo to one of a building with a sign that reads "CLOWN MOTEL" in all caps.
Robert said he and his wife have been members of their church for decades and see the importance of diversity.

I wouldn't get too hung up on generations--the Boomers are really two cohorts---pre-1955 birth=better drugs, better music, protest marches; post-1955: songs like "Afternoon Delight", crappy dangerous drugs like Angel dust, and apathy, and the post-55ers really bleed into GenX, even though that was a more conservative cohort. Both of them spent way too much time at the mall.
Karen is a classic late Boomer name but easily fits the era of Jessicas and Jennifers.
