She supports my theory the modeling industry is relying on ambitious girls from money so they don’t have to negotiate the types of lucrative contracts common in the 90’s and 00’s.

They’ve always existed (Candice Bergen…Shari Belafonte…Isabella Rossellini)…but the days of the cornfed girl from Bumfucke, Illinois becoming a supermodel (like Cynthia Crawford) are long gone.

At one point Presley was working shifts at his parents’ Mexican restaurant (Cafe Habana) and living at home. It’s clear he won’t be Rande’s successor as a businessman, and all Cindy’s stage mom ambition could get him is a short, unremarkable career as a model.

At least Kaia seems to have goals…and she pretends to be an intellectual.
