Julia Louis-Dreyfus Goes Dramatic in "Tuesday"
Ava Lawson
Looks odd, moving, and sad.
I'm intrigued.
And I love that Julia chose an unconventional role.

This movie will be boycotted because able bodied actress Lola Petticrew is playing a disabled character.

JLD still looks really good. If she's had work done, it's not obvious.

not convinced by the performance in that trailer.

G looks very versatile as the bird.
Surely this is her year, at last?

Julia has done dramatic roles before.

No Oscar for Julia—already released to no acclaim

Well a film about a talking parrot does seem a hard sell.

According to several summaries, the bird is Death. The trailer pretty much gives away the movie. The mom can't accept that the daughter is going to die and Death as the bird is guiding her in preparing for the daughter's death.

Yeah that was pretty obvious, the death bird is a little ham-handed.

She was wonderful in Joe Egg as an undergrad at Northwestern—I still remember her performance forty years later.

Julia and her family were lovely when I had lunch with them at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc two decades ago.

At least, Julia didn't request that the script be rewritten for the main character to have a son instead of a daughter. Her nepo baby Charlie could have played a crippled son.

I wish JLD played her character as Selina Meyer. “Watch out for bird shit!”

R7 I don't think Julia wants an Oscar. She's rich as fuck and probably can afford to take on roles in these odd movies that probably don't go anywhere.

leave Charlie out of it R14. He's hot as fuck and therefore gets a pass.

Where did you get that she wants an Oscar? It was clearly sarcastic.
