Van der Sloot, along with his girlfriend Eva Pacohuanaco and accomplices, is said to have smuggled nearly 300 grams of cocaine and 140 grams of marijuana into the prison in Juliaca.

I see he managed to well and truly fuck up his wife's life as well.

Pacohuanaco brought Van der Sloot food in August, including nineteen red beets. The drugs turned out to be in those vegetables. Pacohuanaco says she was not aware of this, but prosecutors are also demanding 18 years in prison for her for drug trafficking.

His whole story is weird. I wonder if the story he told that guy in the car that was recorded before he killed the other girl in Peru was true about Halloway. Hopefully it could give the parents some closure. Something about this story never seemed right. I think he definitely killed her and probably drugged her even but I think she ventured away from "crew" willingly which was not a smart idea in a foreign country.. But I totally understand the naiveté to think that a seemingly nice, good looking guy was not going to hurt you. But unfortunately she happened on absolutely the wrong one. The kid is scum. And his parents were scum. They knew that girl was dead and tortured her parents for years with doubt. That is disgusting of other parents to do to grieving parents
