An exposé in Rolling Stone reveals the sunny Queer Eye star is actually a monster:

I like a well-groomed man with long hair and when I first saw Jonathan Van Ness, I thought he was really attractive.

Then I heard him speak. Then I saw the evolution with the hair and costumes. Then I read a long interview during which he blamed his prior drug use for his becoming HIV+, and how devastated he was when he found out. What he omitted was taking any blame – or, ownership – for his decisions. Thereafter, I can't give a shit about him.

I hated how he victim-bullied Dax Shepherd on his show and tried to paint him as intolerant. I’ve never seen an episode, but have been following this story with glee. I didn’t know which one Tan was/is until I saw his response video. The haught and arrogance are a complete turn off. He really seems like a miserable twat.

I haven't really seen the show since S1. It doesn't have that certain magic quality the OG did, whatever that was. JVN was dressing like a guy at the time but I think he went off the rails and started the non-binary shit and acting like a 12 yo girl.
