He is 69 years old, the damage has already been done plus he was a smoker, not sure if he still is. If he quit smoking and managed to lose all that weight then my hat is off to him.

He looks like Lestat just finished with him and he's waiting to turn, come nightfall. But good for him getting healthy; I just hope the demons that drove the overeating are being dealt with. He seems closeted to me.

R6, he was already maintaining his weight loss in 2018 and had continued to do so. Understanding the problem and addressing it tends to keep the weight off.

He actually lost closer to TWO hundred pounds, but to his credit did it the correct way, over time, with diet and a trainer supervised exercise program. I say good for him! He's from my hometown, St. Louis.

The worst he ever looked was in that Bobby Darin film with Spacey, BEYOND THE SEA. That was in 2004, and I remember feeling horrified when I saw him onscreen.

I like Goodman and admire his talent. He's also been admirably discreet about all the backstage Roseanne drama over the years (decades before she was finally fired).

But he is a cautionary tale for older men. (I've struggled with weight fluctuations over time myself.) Goodman was a nice-looking man whose face and features have been destroyed by decades of dramatic gain and loss. He is genuinely difficult to watch onscreen. He looked cadaverous at a heavy weight when THE CONNORS started, and he looks cadaverous now.

He was also a hardcore alcoholic for decades. He finally kicked it some years ago. And I agree. I've always liked him as a person and as an actor, and my hat is also off to him.

And maybe more would've been off to him, had I known him at the time of that Mennen commerical at R12!
