Jinkx Monsoon
Robert Guerrero
Why hasn’t she been on All Stars yet? Most of these impressions are A-level.

Because she's a winner, baby!

I love to see a Legacy Queen Drag Race with the likes of Coco Peru, Lady Bunny, Lypsinka, Varla Jean Merman, etc. That would be legendary.

R1 Oh my God, I COMPLETELY FORGOT that Jinkx won.
Whoops.

I'm tired of All Star seasons, they've gotten stale. What RPDR really needs to do is a winners season OR a season with the first eliminated queens (without Vanjie and Shangela). I think a first eliminated queens season would be entertaining.
| by Anonymous | reply 4 | September 13, 2020 1:35 PM |
Because she's exhausting. She's an attention whore who is difficult to work with and doesn't like sharing the spotlight with other queens. They're also "non-binary", which means they identify as they/them, which indicates a certain level of crazy. I can't imagine Jinkx is a very good person for VH1 and RPDR to have to deal with for that long of a time.

R5 I haven’t heard that Jinkx is difficult, but honestly, I feel like Jinkx has such an abundance of performative talent that any ego may be earned. That’s kind of awful to say, maybe, but I just think Jinkx is incredibly talented, and particularly compared with contestants who only wear makeup and walk well.

There will never be a winners season because all the "losers" would be forever be known as losers instead of the winners of their respective seasons.

I like the idea of both a first-contestant-out season and an all-winners season.
The winners really do prove themselves. Except perhaps Tyra Sanchez, all of them really are versatile entertainers.
Those who are voted out first for the most part didn’t get a chance; it’s kind of the luck of the draw. I’m sure all of them have something to offer that they were not able to show because the challenge just didn’t allow for it.

R6 There is no such thing as a drag queen with "earned" ego.
| by Anonymous | reply 9 | September 13, 2020 1:45 PM |
R9 I don’t think anyone with a bad attitude toward others should be indulged, but I do understand how performers who are very talented and who know that they are because of positive audience reactions can get big heads.

I would love a First Time In Drag season. We get to watch who sinks or swims quickly. That would be cringy and entertaining.

Who said All Stars is tired??? I JUST binge watched the entire series and All Stars is the BEST! I love the twists and turns, AS5 was the best! I GAGGED over the lip-synch assassin thing!!
I could see Ru doing an All Stars All Stars Season now that we have enough winners.....who won season 7 again??? Tyra Sanchez recently announced she's retiring from drag. I like the idea of a First Eliminated season, but y'all are right. Vanjie and Shangela have had their time....

R11 Only if they were on their own with no makeup, wig, padding and clothing help. Otherwise, we get that all the time with the boring makeover episodes, the boring quasi-celebrity miniseries, the boring Drag U.

I didn't have respect for Jinx until this lip-synch. Her Little Edie was spot on too and I was genuinely DISAPPOINTED the other queens didn't recognize the character she did.

Drag Race is gonna get cancelled soon. It's already heavily under fire for "underrepresenting black drag queens" or something stupid like that related to race, I can't remember the exact wording of it. Point is, drag race, like most other gay culture related things, is going down in the Great Race Complaints of 2020.
People are bellyaching on Twitter about how not enough black queens are on, not enough black queens win, that black queens get judged unfairly, that drag culture belongs to black trans women, that the slang they use is offensive, yadda yadda yadda.
And to top it all off, people hate RuPaul because she has interests in oil and want her head on a spike becauee she DARED to be a rich enterprising gay man instead of knowing her place at the bottom of the totem pole like all the other queers.
Bottom line is: Drag Race, you in danger gurl!

All Stars needs to be every 3 or 4 years - now there are mediocrities like Rajah O'Hara being cast, and Pandora Boxx and Yara Sofia - someone needs to stop trying to make these queens happen. And nobody should be showing up to all stars right after their season has aired.
All Stars 2 is legendary because there was an established set of queens who had been out in the world improving their drag and building themselves up. 3 was good for the same reason. 4 and 5 in comparison....meh.

If Drag Race gets canceled, it will only be because of Drag Race exhaustion. It reached maximum saturation years ago and now it’s practically an assault.
We had Drag Race, All Stars, UK, Drag Race again, celebrity Drag Race, Canada, Vegas Revue, and now Holland. It’s like a metastasis.

Love both those ideas R4!
I'm also tired of All Stars - because they are really scraping the bottom of the barrel now.

Jinkx does a good one-woman show. Some interesting things thrown in like a Peggy Lee-ish take on Oops I Did It Again.
She's enormous now though - she could be a Rosemary Clooney/Barbara Cook tribute act.

The next ‘All Stars’ season should aim for truth in advertising and call itself “RuPaul’s Drag Race Leftovers.”

R19 Jinkx is really personally responsible for me getting over my “what’s talented about putting on makeup and a wig?” prejudice and appreciating that many of these people are legitimate performance artists. (Some honestly just take pretty pictures.) I watched the Jinkx documentary when Amazon suggested it years ago and it pretty much sold me on Drag Race because I always hope that someone with an equal level of talent will be discovered.

After watching that video - Jinkx is incredibly talented. Most of them aren't but she is. She also has a way of doing something understated but comical and staring at the camera with a "fuck you cunt" look sent through her eyes which I find hilarious.
I would love to see a winners All Stars.

Ben DeLaCreme’s wit is strong. The last comment he makes at the end of this about the “turkey-ham’s” pronouns...😂

R15, you gon' need receipts girl. The ratings and sponsors are there. There have been PLENTY queens of color who win Drag Race including the first two winners. Ru's "oil interests" is that his man is a rancher. You wouldn't turn down a rough trade rancher who fracks over millions of dollars either, so stop.
