Jeopardy Part 12
William Jenkins
That show was a clusterfuck. I'm surprised that no one commented that Ryan said "Jews $1600" in the Jewish Americans category. I thought that there would be some controversy about that.
Then there was when the champ gave the answer "Erdogan" with the g-sound, when Alex specifically said the "G" was silent. Then the champ was like, "whatever, keep going," and Alex pushed back and said, "the G is SILENT." Rofl. That was very uncomfortable, but Alex let him get away with it.
Okay, howcome no one mentioned this?
On Thursday's show, it was the question right before the commercial break. The category was "Classic Songs' First Lines," and the answer was, "You never close your eyes anymore, when I kiss your lips."
Ryan answered, "You lost that lovin' feeling," and it was wrong. HOWEVER, Alex corrected him instantly and say, "oh you're so close, it's YOU'VE lost that lovin' feeling."
But guess what??? Alex didn't give the other two contestants a chance to give the correct answer. When someone gets the answer wrong (like Ryan did), Alex is supposed to let the other two contestants have a chance to give the correct answer. But Alex didn't do that. He immediately corrected Ryan, and DID NOT give the other two contestants a chance to answer correctly.
I'm surprised that I'm the only one that caught that. I thought that Alex would make some mention of it after the break, but he didn't.
So does that mean the other two contestants get to come back for another show? Alex obviously fucked up, and something has to be done about it.
Watch the episode, and see what you think. It's the part right before the first commercial break in the Jeopardy round.
