And that poor woman who was the informant for the FBI. Her life was ruined.

The recordings she captured on tape were just insane.

It's a really long story, but basically she recorded her conversations with Jared which were incriminating.

She took the tapes to the FBI and they told her that she has to become an informant because she broke the law by recording him without his consent.

So she was beholden to the FBI for over four years.

She was forced to put herself in terrible situations and have awful, disgusting conversations with him which proved how disgustingly perverted he was.

It took a toll on her life, and her kid's lives.

You really have to watch Part 2 and Part 3 to get the full effect.

It's a sad story all around.

I watched it. It was too long and rather boring, mostly focusing on the woman who recorded him for years by catfishing him. Jared was guilty of something, but the evidence was weak and seeing the documentary made me have some doubt. Much of it seemed like he was this insecure former fattie who thought this woman wanted to have sex with him and he kept trying but she kept stringing him along for the FBI. Anyway, she kept stringing him along, teasing him, not having sex, but asking what he wanted to do with middle school girls before offering to meet with him and then running off, always talking sexy by asking him what he would like to do with little girls. Again, I guess he was guilty, but she catfished him by pretending to want sex for more than a year and asking him about what he wanted to do with children whenever he came on to her. At times, it seemed he was just telling her what she wanted to hear to get her in the mood, as if he only caught on to the fact that she wanted him to talk about young girls but was dumb enough to think it foreplay and so was just talking fantasy to please her fetish She kept saying how disgusted she was by him in the documentary, yet she was the one who egged him on.

Also, there was a strong implication that Jared had done something to her young daughter or the woman suspected him of it. The daughter also something perverted the mom kept in her room, some diary with perverse details about possibly the daughter but the mom claimed it was for the FBI, part of the investigation, but her daughter never saw her mother in the same way after reading it. I found that really suspect.

R11 Her makeup was atrocious. Despite all the content warnings on the documentary, the way she styled herself was the most disturbing detail about the entire series--her lipstick and hair colors were all wrong. She had to have been crazy to have worn that lipstick on TV.

He was busted because the manager of his foundation was. The feds/police never charged him based on catfishing by Rochelle Harmon.

Through the arrest of the foundation manager, Russell Taylor, it was discovered he had been supplied with child porn, so the feds searched his home and devices. He would get hookers when he was in NYC or Vegas, and would request young ones, ages 14-15. Apparently he got multiple hookers that were 16.

She was recording him without his consent in a state where that’s a felony. Also, it seemed clear he desired her, but she kept pressing him to talk about sex with children. It could easily be inferred that he was just telling her what she seemed to want to hear.

It was from the Taylor arrest that overt acts were shown. He had child porn. His texts showed him repeatedly asking agencies for underage teens to have sex with.

Anyway, why do these cheesy documentaries now seem to feel it’s so important to show the “hero” or victim standing at the waterline staring out at the ocean? They did this with Harmon and in another doc I watched recently as well. Very flyover.

Yes, R24, the title is interesting and a problem for Subway's branding. They picked the wrong person to be connected to them for decades in the public's mind. Subway is partly at fault. Sometimes I wonder if Jared only committed these crimes because of his Subway diet. If he never did the diet, never lost the weight, never got rich and famous, all these catfishing enablers constantly asking him about what he wanted to do to young girls never would have met him or bothered with him. Also, I'm sure Jared had zero sex drive before losing the weight. He was not just fat but morbidly obese as a teen and young adult. That kind of fat disrupts hormones and natural sex drive and development. I wonder if he only just got his sex drive with the weight loss and was trapped in arrested development due to never developing normally in terms of fat-retarded feminized hormonal development during puberty.

She basically filmed her two daughters in their room, and at the end of the documentary, the daughters said that the mother actually wanted to have sex with them.
