I can never decide whether I like that so many british actors pull a David Caruso and leave successful shows after a few years or whether it's a good thing.

It seems a lot more common which is strange to me because the shorter seasons (or series) of most shows like Grantchester vs. the longer seasons of US shows seems made for doing other things during the hiatus time.

I can see him wanting to do something edgier/cooler than Granchester, however, despite his hotness & well toned backside, he's kind of....bland. It's as if there is no "there" there. He seems like a nice enough guy as an actor, but he's probable best suited to costume dramas & formulaic PBS shows

I like it because it refreshes the series and brings a new energy to it. While I like Norton, I prefer his replacement Tom Brittney. Sidney was such a downer.
