It is their second biggest hit ever in the USA (peaking at #2 in the States, behind West End Girls which peaked at #1, their only #1) nut it is easily their best, and a song that I still can listen to and and have so much fun with years later. West End Girls is fine but not nearly as memorable, fun or hypnotic as this one.

They play this song sometimes at the Target that I go to and I love when it comes on, its just so much fun and makes you wanna move.

I just found out that Dusty Springfield is on this song with them. I never knew that! OMG. So cool, although if that is her in the video, she looks like Boy George.

I really like the video too. I discovered this song while watching a Dusty doc. It was supposed to be a sort of comeback for her. SCANDAL is another good one of hers from this time, but not a poppy type of song. Anyway, they played just a snippet of her singing, and I was HOOKED. The lyrics are classic gay relationship. Love it when Lez and gay get together.

She looks FABULOUS in the video. Kind of 80s Dynasty Linda Evans with some Glenn in Fatal Attraction (in a good way) thrown in.

I really love 'Love etc.' from 2009.

Poor Dusty, this was her final hit in the states and her biggest single, peaking at #2.

Not even Son of a Preacher Man did great, peaking at #10.

Pulp Fiction’s using that song (a song she owned until she died) brought interest in her early work and introduced her to young people.

Now that I watch again, she’s serving butch Angelica Huston in the Grifters.

Love the dynamic between the two males. One is low key, other is in the spotlight.

Remember having an awful English teacher in high school and bitching about her with my friends. One time, I sang this song's chorus to something my friend said about the teacher and she burst out laughing. I was pleasantly surprised because I wasn't sure she even knew the song.

Oh yeah, the question, it's a great song but PSB have so many, hard to pin down a "best". It would definitely be in my top 10 favorite PSB songs.

For me the best song by them is Being Boring. And also their best video, the first directed by fashion photographer Bruce Weber.

Because sometimes a remix captures a song brilliantly.

'Being Boring' is widely, and correctly regarded as their best song (including by the PSB's themselves, apparently) but I have always thought that 'What Have I Done To Deserve This' was their next best.

PSB have so many great songs. Another vote for Being Boring as their best. Other favourites include Can You Forgive Her, Suburbia, Rent and Love Etc (the whole album is great)

Probably not one of their most popular, this was my favorite, probably because of the Gothic video.

I also love NYC Boy. I was busy being one when it came out and it made it feel like it was the most important thing in the world. Now it’s similarly sentimental - if less sad - than Being Boring.

I've been playing "It's Alright" a lot recently when I need a lift. Real life is depressing enough these days so I'm glad for upbeat music like PSB excel at.

Home and Dry, 2002, from their album Release. How can a song sound so melancholy and yet so uplifting at the same time?

When I think of Electro pop I think of PSB's Domino Dancing. Honorable mention from me, "I'm With Stupid" and the great self parody video starring the guys from Little Britain.

The quiet one, Chris, was gorgeous. Neil's voice really got to me when he did background on Boy George's "Crying Game". They were amazing producers too -- that song, Yoko, Liza, Dusty,... Hugely important to me as an '80s gayling. And still today.

"So Hard" is probably my favorite.

I THINK there was an interview in Q Magazine a million years ago that it annoys Tennant because he knows "Key" and "Magazine" "Faithful" and "Fatal" don't rhyme, but he couldn't think of anything better at the time.

I still think it's one of their most lyrically interesting songs.

Love it- was my favourite song when I was kid not knowing it was gay.

Dusty came out in a way in 1970 although she really said she was bi. Quite amazing for the time.

My particular favorite is It's a Sin. As a seriously lapsed Catholic it resonates quite well with me.

Of the deeper cuts Your Funny Uncle and Can You Ever Forgive Her? are fine songs.

Don't know why but my favorite part of the video is Chris spinning in slow motion then dancing behind the curtain. Fantastic song and video.

Two things I got out of the Liza video, it shows "I'm Losing My Mind" really is a lousy song and I hope Liza didn't kill those goldfish.

Dusty's part was written by Allee Willis, another lesbian, who died recently.

I always wanted to see their musical with Jonathan Harvey, "Closer to Heaven", but the timing never worked out with my visits to London.

Even many ardent PSB fans will admit Neil Tennant doesn't have best voice. His range is limited and instrument is weak, hence rarely do you hear him sing without the electronics sound PSBs have made famous.

As stated previously, it is amazing PSB have ridden synthesiser/electronic music to such great heights and wealth. They wouldn't have had same career say prior to 1980's. They are primarily a dance band/duo; and without raves, happenings, clubs, etc... both gay and straight of 1980's onward it is likely their career wouldn't have followed same path.

Everyone knows West End Girls beat is better for the dancefloor.
