I remember when he posed nude for Cream magazinein the 1970s, before his 'Fenwood 2 Night' fame. I never did hear his reaction to Fred Willard's death. I must have missed it or this post would have been full of Susan Dey comments.

I'm watching Mr. Mom and besides how much I liked Michael Keaton I really liked Martin Mull. This movie always puts me in a good mood. I remember him from Mary Hartman Mary Hartman, too. That show was something else I loved it when I was a kid.

R8: He's awful in the Christopher Guest satires. His obvious joking gets tiresome fast. Both of them were originally from Cleveland--like a surprising number of medy writers and actors. Willard from a more well-off background. He was sent to Kentucky Military Institute; I've known a number of people who went there and it was popular with well-off Clevelanders.
